ABOUT APRIL

APRIL M LOZEVSKI, OWNER + PRINCIPAL DESIGNER

I earned my degree from the College of Architecture & Design at Arizona State University, but my creativity and passion for design started much earlier; well before I even started school.  When I was very young, I remember sitting at my mother’s easel and watching her paint for hours.  It was here that I was introduced to color, texture, composition & self~expression. Together, my mother and I tackled many home décor and remodeling projects.  I was hooked!  My love of art and design continued to grow during my school days and I was thrilled to find one of the nation’s top ranked interior design programs right in my own back yard.   Upon graduation, I further honed my skills while working for a prominent, Scottsdale design firm, which specialized in high end residential & hospitality projects.  The knowledge & expertise I gained in this amazingly creative environment launched my career. While I loved the variety & collaboration of working at a large firm, I longed for a more personal approach to design as well as a more intimate relationship with my clients.  I was ready to go out on my own. I had a distinct voice and philosophy that I longed to bring to my projects.  In 1998 I founded Avril Interiors.  Over the years, we have built a successful business on a reputation of exceeding clients’ expectations and more importantly, on guiding them on a journey of unique self~expression. With a focus on exceptional quality, creative thinking and attention to detail, I ensure that our clients are taken care of with the highest level of personal service.  Working in a fresh yet timeless style, I develop every design based on the individual personality and lifestyle of each client. Backed by a team of highly skilled contractors, workrooms and artisans, I am dedicated to helping you unlock your vision and realize your dreams!

ABOUT PHILLIP

PHILLIP M LOZEVSKI, OWNER + CEO

My unique background gives me just the right combination of business sense, creativity and motivational skills needed to manage an interior design studio.  I have an economics degree from Colorado College, a small private school in Colorado Springs.  I also studied film at Arizona State University and currently, in my free time, I’m a volunteer basketball & soccer coach.  I worked for several years in film & commercial production as a Production Manager and Assistant Director.   I have been involved with shooting two major motion pictures, various documentaries, promos for professional sports, and national advertising campaigns for both Sonic & Martha Stewart.  While traveling and working extremely long hours, each project was its own microcosm of managing budgets, securing locations & talent, as well as intense scheduling.  Basically I was the guy who made sure things got done.  Surprisingly, it was not a difficult transition from working with crazy, over demanding directors to working with my wife!  I work behind the scenes, handling all the paperwork, communications with vendors, and scheduling the installations.  I make sure everything is where it’s supposed to be, when it’s supposed to be there.   I’m also on the front lines helping with field measures, installations, and creating digital presentations.  I do my best to fulfill any requests our clients may have & keep your project running like clockwork.  From the big picture planning, to the most minute detail, I take care of all the design logistics to get our clients the results they’re after:  a stress-free, luxurious space that reflects their individual perspective and style.
